There’s nothing more fulfilling than a class full of students excited to workout with YOU.
But for most instructors, filling up classes feels almost impossible. To become a popular instructor and have teaching opportunities come to YOU seems like a stroke of luck rewarded to a select few. Sparkly certificates and Instagram fame appear to be the only paths to success in the fitness and yoga world.
You dream of being the instructor everyone is raving about and getting paid well for doing what you love, but instead, you’re stuck in a reality where one (or several) of the following applies:
- You are ready to unlock your teaching potential, you just don't know where to start.
- You want to instruct like an expert, but you don't have 10 years or 10,000 hours to burn.
- You're busy and haven't found a training that fits your schedule.
- You crave a successful mentor that can guide you to your greatness, but the instructors you admire don't even respond to your questions on instagram!
Successful instructors know it's not just about what you teach. It's about how people feel in your class.
"My breakthrough was learning how to empower my student's choices and how to make my class more personal using inviting language. It made a world of difference for them. I feel a better connection with my students now, and they feel more connected to me. It helped me grow my community and find a new level of engagement in my offerings."
Did you know that you can grow your classes (I'm talking a fun, boisterous room of students who return every week just to see YOU) simply by teaching a barre method that specializes in how your students feel!?
At the end of the day, students want to learn something new, get a good workout, and feel empowered. Yet most instructor training programs teach you the WHAT without teaching you the most important piece: the HOW.
HOW you teach what you know makes a huge difference!
HOW you teach sets you apart from all of the other instructors out there. Once students get a taste of a class that kicks their butt and makes them feel awesome at the same time, they talk about it. Your classes grow and even studio and gym owners want to know your secret!
That's what happened for Tiffany Broden, a Seattle-based Barre Eclipse instructor who taught yoga for years and struggled to get noticed in her community. Her career skyrocketed shortly after barre training. Tiffany says, “my classes are sold out with two-week waitlists and my boss says that everyone is requesting more of my classes! Studios are coming to ME and offering me jobs right now! I can't believe it." Her secret? The Barre Eclipse method.
Perfect for busy people and people new to instructing.
Start anytime, short lessons
Pre-recorded lectures that are 15 minutes or less and easily fit into your busy schedule. Begin learning today or at any time you want. Four-month access to learn at your own pace. Optional lectures and mentorship sessions if you want more.
Way cheaper than alternatives
Way cheaper than yoga teacher training. Arguably more effective than personal training. Because barre instructors are more rare than other types of teachers, the pay is typically higher. Payment plan available!
No experience needed
Designed with the beginner in mind. You get everything you need to teach a barre class from scratch. From counting to cuing to sequencing and playlisting... we got you! You won't need to take extra training in the future.
You can learn to teach an amazing barre class from exactly where you are right now.
Here's what most barre teacher training programs don’t want you to know...
- When you learn the underlying logic of teaching an effective class, you don't need to purchase “intermediate” or “advanced” training programs after you graduate. Most programs want you to memorize choreography instead of teaching you the logic behind creating well-rounded and challenging classes every time.
- If you want to teach like an expert, you'll need more than 2 days of training. A weekend training is not enough. It usually takes 4-5 weeks (at about 10 hours each week) to become proficient at teaching barre. That's why we give you a full four months with the course. Weekend immersions are a waste of your time and money!
- More is not better. When you first start teaching, your biggest challenge is learning how to say what you want to say to the beat of the music. You are challenged to command the room while empowering your students. If you are overwhelmed with specialized knowledge in anatomy and prenatal and injuries, you won't learn the foundations you need to be successful. Learn the essentials of instruction first, as we teach you, and the specialized knowledge will fall in place.
When you learn the tried-and-true teaching techniques that experienced instructors use, you teach an excellent class, consistently, and your students return again and again.
And here's the best part — When you take Barre Eclipse Teacher Training, you do not have to spend the 10 years usually required to get GOOD at sequencing, playlisting, and cueing. We give you all of the tools needed to start teaching like a professional instructor so you are teaching with proficiency straight out of training. Your students will be surprised that it is first class because you teach so well.
I'm not a dancer or a ballerina. I'm a yogi and I like strength. In a way, this makes my method more approachable and holistic.
Hi, I'm Adrienne, and I'm your instructor. People say I'm an 'industry disruptor' because I just don’t fit in with diet and fitness culture. My classes aren’t rigid or strict, so they don't fit the ballet-class mold, and I refuse to use body-shaming to advertise my workouts. I believe we can work out AND feel good about ourselves at the same time.
And guess what? This approach resonates with people.
Once students try it, they get addicted, and they either incorporate my classes into their current workout routine or they just do Barre Eclipse altogether! Let me share how my method has proven its success.
In 2015, I opened my first barre studio. No one knew me, and the community was new to barre, too. But our studios took off! My classes were full with long waitlists. We were so successful that we opened a second studio in 2016, and I sold my thriving business in 2019.
Around 2015, I also started teaching for Cody App (which later became Alo Moves). Despite not being Insta-famous like the others on the platform, my barre content flourished. I was only shooting a few videos a year, but I became one of the most popular instructors on the platform! Talk about a dream come true.
In 2020, the demand for my workouts grew exponentially that my husband, Eric, and I decided to create Barre Eclipse, our own on-demand platform. My first Livestream class had 70+ people attend, and nowadays I have over 500 people from all around the world taking my classes every week! WOW, right!?
I went from being a broke nobody in the fitness world to being a well-paid full-time instructor, and I didn't have to use body-shaming to succeed. I get to do what I love and empower people every day, and it is all thanks to the Barre Eclipse method.
Now, I teach people how to do exactly what I do. I've broken it down to a science, so even if you are brand new to teaching, I teach exactly how I teach. The counting, the cueing, the things I consider while teaching, my worldview, and philosophies, ALL OF IT are yours for the taking when you sign up.
So are you ready to inspire people?

"Do it! This TT is one of the best decisions I’ve made. You guys poured your hearts out. Every video, assessment, and lecture has been done with love and professionalism. This teacher training exceeded my expectations. The teacher training gave me the opportunity to connect with people, even in the middle of a pandemic. It gave me a feeling of belonging and helped me stay focused."
"It's amazing. Even if you don't end up being a teacher, it is such valuable training. I think you'll love it and have a great time learning everything. Being more aware of the messaging in the health and fitness industry has allowed me to filter what I'm hearing, and instead of internalizing it and take it on, I recognize it, remind myself I'm enough, and dismiss it."
"It is easily the most thorough course out there!"
"It's a no brainer! This training will not only improve the teacher in you, but it will improve the way that you think about yourself, life & the people around you. I feel so much more clear in my role as a fitness instructor. I, like so many of us, was a victim of negative subliminal messaging from society when I was young. I am so grateful to have found Adrienne and I am so happy to be a small part of breaking that cycle for future generations. Thank you so much for this work!!"
"I can't recommend enough the Barre Eclipse Training! It's a fantastic way of learning to teach barre at your own pace, without the pressure and time limitations of a live course. It's the only course I've come across that allows sufficient time to land all this amazing knowledge so that even beginners like myself have the opportunity to teach. The training is put together in the most comprehensive way, layering information and techniques week after week and you're suddenly able to teach barre before you know it!
Adrienne and Eric are the best teachers and mentors anyone could wish for and you'll get to meet and practice with some amazing trainees from all over the world! It's been the best investment of my time and money and words are not enough to say how grateful I am for being able to complete this course."
"I love all the details of the cueing and how you had a little video for each workout and variation. I am far more confident teaching when I can speak at my regular pace without feeling chaotic. This training program will teach you not only the mechanics of teaching a class but will also encourage and support your own particular style that you pour into the form of the practice."
"Do it! It's so fun and rewarding to teach barre. I make an extra $100+ a week! I didn't mean to start a business - but I started a business. And even more than that -- I have SO MUCH FUN!"
"Adrienne is the real deal. Full of knowledge, patience, trust, and spice. I have learned more from this training than I did from my in-person YTT. She is a pioneer in barre, yoga & fitness, most important, a champion for people's relationships with their body. I'm looking forward to seeing her thrive and hope you will join the Barre Eclipse Community!"
"Fitness is not a body-shaming process but body acclaiming; it is good to learn how to appreciate and empower yourself rather than blaming yourself in daily life as well. This is not only a workout but a life philosophy course! the training session helps me know myself more and, most importantly, love myself more in every workout."
"I love the thorough approach to teaching and having every detail specified, always being available for questions, having the mentorship sessions and Adrienne's and Eric's empowering attitude, their belief in us as students, and also just the friendliest user portal! You cannot do wrong!
Adrienne and Eric are there to help you every step of the way; it's fun, it's energetic, and you will learn to deliver a terrific workout every time you step on your mat as well as a holistic approach to fitness and wellness. This program not only is great for doing barre; it has soul and integrity."
"[Adrienne's] way of leading you thru learning new material, teaching you the body and WHY we do thing this way, plus musicality is AMAZING! I give her and her team a round of applause for sharing her talents."
"The approach to teaching - giving students a choice, making the class more personal by using inviting language. I have even started doing this where I can when I'm teaching my yoga classes, and it has made a world of difference for my students, especially new students. I feel a better connection with them (even if it's virtual) and vice versa. In my yoga teachings, it has helped me grow my community and find a new level of engagement in my offerings, even when I'm subbing for another teacher."
"If there is an ounce of doubt along the lines of, "I can't do it," "I'm not good enough," "People won't want to hear from me," take a deep breath and try. Just try and no matter what happens, you will learn more about yourself, you will have the opportunity to grow and recognize the ins and outs about yourself. Self-exploration creates strength and we are here to support your journey." Jennifer
"I took Adrienne’s in-person barre teacher training in 2018 and was not yet currently an instructor. But, I was fearful of the vulnerability that comes with it prior to the experience. You will not regret it, a wonderful experience to try your hand at teaching or just enjoy and bring more abundance into your life!" Keshia
"[My] classes are less complicated and flow better; I listen to music differently. I allow the student to become the teacher of their own body, awareness, alignment, and adjustment. My verbiage is better. My counts have improved. My left and right are still, well, no comment. LOL. I also know the direction I want to go career-wise. I teach differently, I layer my exercises more clearly and efficiently. I was taught by Adrienne, something I did not think would ever happen."
"It has definitely made me more forgiving and accepting of myself more, to go a little more easy on myself. It has made me feel a lot more Zen with myself and with others around me. To empower someone with positivity makes me and them feel good about themselves, and that's a good feeling to have.
My biggest highlight of the program is having the opportunity to meet new friends around the world. Firstly meeting Adrienne, who has had a huge impact on my life during this pandemic, has been very inspirational. Meeting all the trainees have been so inspiring and uplifting. I have gained some forever friends during this training."
"Do it! You won't regret it :) I love love love how strong I feel in my body inside and out. Feeling stronger has helped shape how I view and perceive myself, and this in turn, has made me want to share how empowering this method is. Even though I am already currently teaching yoga, teaching barre is a whole new level, and the training is so much more inclusive, supportive, and informative even though it's done online."
"The process of preparing my classes used to be inefficient and time-sucking and sometimes left me feeling frustrated and uncertain. I am able to now more quickly and confidently put together classes that are balanced and well-rounded for clients of all levels so that the process of preparing for group classes and private clients has become so much more fun and enjoyable!
This Barre Eclipse Training has had a huge impact on my business life because it has allowed me to continue to teach online despite studios being closed during this pandemic. Also, since starting to teach the Barre Eclipse method, I feel that I am fully equipped to offer a service to others in this difficult time through classes that leave clients of all levels feeling more positive, powerful, and connected to their body and soul. This in turn has made me feel more connected, grounded, and joyful in more ways than I can express...without it, I would have probably lost my way during this pandemic. Thank you so much, Adrienne & Eric!"
"If you're interested in learning Barre, I would go for it. The program is well organized, and you have many chances to connect with Adrienne and the barre eclipse community. I love your method -- it's organized and well put together. I love how the weekly Livestreams kept me connected with your style of teaching along with the barre training, so it synced well. I also loved how you offered the live mentorship to connect with you and fellow barre trainees."
"Go for it. Even if you don't teach it at the end of the day, it makes you feel great and helps you enrich yourself with positive vibes. It's given me the drive to get even stronger so I can show up for my students and provide a platform for wellness that is empowering and supportive. On the business side, I get to try out a new career and see where it leads."
"I feel like my personal life is thriving because I am making the space to do something meaningful outside of my day today. I know I am pushing the boundaries but each time I practice I think it's something my future self will thank me for. This new mentality has helped me grow as a person and it's only been since taking the step in the course that I feel this excitement about possibly teaching full-time in the future or just getting this thing off the ground. I have enjoyed building the brand throughout the last year and I feel excited about it. I actually feel like I am meant to teach other people and I know I'm in that uncomfortable space of learning just now so I keep reminding myself it will pay off. I guess in a sense I am making hard decisions to put myself out of my comfort zone. I have also taken up sea swimming since being in the course, I feel more athletic and my true self and more in touch with nature's elements as well." Isla
"Go for it, go outside your comfort zone. Once you are done you can decide how to use it, maybe just for knowledge, maybe to teach, or just be a more effective student. I realize how much I love continuing to learn. I also feel the teaching skills and information will benefit my dance students who may not jump into a full barre class or may not have time due to student life/ dance class."
"The techniques in this program are broadly applicable as teachers, even outside of barre—and this program fosters thinking about your teaching and the positive impact it can have in the world if you give it that intention." Caitlin
"I would definitely recommend this program to anyone curious about Barre! Even if you don't plan to become licensed, I am taking away many new lessons and bits of information that will help my teaching of movement be THAT much stronger. I loved learning more about the body and other effective yet mindful movements for our bodies. I really enjoyed your empowering language section and breaking down the diet-culture fads/slogans that we are sometimes bombarded with."
"I love the attention to detail you guys took in regards to music, terminology, and the overall vibe the instructor brings. A lot of training programs do not touch on the "feel" of the class as you guys have."
"I enjoyed learning about the method including the class design, musical elements, and the theme of nature/elements throughout. It has really helped me as an instructor think about/navigate building well-rounded, intentional classes. I also just feel more confident in my own barre voice! I have been teaching yoga for many years but barre is newer to me. Counting and rhythm have been a challenge but I am feeling wayyyy more comfortable. I think the program design is really accessible to anyone, whether you have a background in fitness or are a busy/working person. My full-time job is unrelated to fitness and I found the program to be really easy to fit in. I enjoyed the short, to-the-point videos and the accompanying manual. I sometimes had to fit in watching the videos while I walked my dog—but it worked! I did not feel like it was overwhelming. Overall, I found the experience to be personally enjoyable and I appreciated working on something different than my day job in my own time."
"Totally do it! Your training has helped me transform the way I teach. I feel empowered to make barre more accessible to those who are interested in becoming part of our fitness community. I am more aware of what words I use to describe bodies. I use inclusive language—this has made me more aware of how I teach and how my students feel after receiving instruction from me."
"I am inspired to start teaching barre classes online! I was able to apply the mindset to empowering students and how to stay connected with students in both my professional (as a lecturer and fitness instructor) life."
"DO IT, SIGN UP NOW!! YOU’LL LOVE IT! This training is something that encourages and inspires confidence in me. Just like getting through the first five weeks of content, it reminded me that it’s not just about the final outcome, but it’s all of the learning along the way that’s really meaningful."
Your Instructors: the Rabenas
What's up, everyone? We are Adrienne & Eric, the wife & husband duo that founded Barre Eclipse.
You probably recognize me, Adrienne, from Alo Moves, the ah-mazing online fitness platform. And you probably recognize Eric from my Insta. He's my best friend and business partner. With his 20+ years in leadership and management, he supports our community in profound ways. He's our photographer, videographer, graphic designer, web-master, and training co-facilitator.
Together, we created one of Seattle's most reputable yoga teacher training programs: The Craft of Teaching Yoga. We've trained, mentored, and certified over 100 yoga students. Give it a google and peek at the reviews — our trainees graduate quite happy.
We've recently sold our two successful barre & yoga studios: Bohemian Studios, where I developed the Barre Bohemian method and teacher training program. About 80% of my trainees went on to become instructors at local studios.
Collectively, we boast over 7,000 in-class hours with students, and we've spent at least 1,000 hours facilitating training material. Teaching teachers is our bread-n-butter, and we are thrilled to share our teacher training with you!
